Update on Ronnie, etc.
Dear friends:
People occasionally ask me about the status of Dr. Richard Eby and the 19-year-old Ronnie Patterson, both of whom testify of a visitation of the Lord and a message about the soon rapture.
First, as far as I know, there has been no change in Dr. Eby's status, and I spoke with his friend, Rev. Ron Patterson, this afternoon. I believe I will be notified if there is a significant change relating to his revelation, and I will pass it on.
However, Rev. Patterson did bring me up to date on his son, Ronnie. In September 2000, Ronnie had an unusual visitation from the Lord, who gave him an astonishing vision of (or visit to) heaven and told him that He was returning so soon that Ronnie getting his drivers license was not worth the trouble. For a full description of this amazing experience, see

It was later clarified that Ronnie has a learning disability and it would have taken him about a year to get his license, or the fall of 2001.
Rev. Patterson, Ronnies dad, tells me that Ronnies mindset is such that his son thinks a license would not have been "worth the trouble" if the rapture is as far away as the rest of the year 2002, and that Ronnie believes the rapture will happen before the end of this year.
But thats not the best part. He tells me that Ronnies experience with the Lord in September 2000 was so real and so totally life-changing that Ronnies zeal and expectation of the rapture has not waned one bit and in fact grows every day. He says that Ronnie is a totally different person. He is not interested in girls, cars or anything else -- only Jesus and the soon rapture. For example, when Ron takes him to a sporting event, all Ronnie does is to go and approach strangers, telling them that Jesus is coming soon, and to be ready. Ronnie does not even pay attention to who is winning and does not care. He approaches strangers everywhere with the same message. He is consumed with the reality of what Jesus showed him and said to him in September 2000. He told his dad, "If you had experienced what I experienced, you would understand why I think and act the way I do.".
Folks, this is totally unnatural. It is not of this world. I have no doubt that Ronnie saw heaven and heard from the Lord.
Another friend, Tex Armstrong, recently described to me an amazing experience his son, Travis, had over the holidays. Tex said, "My group had been praying that one of us would get a vision/dream/something to give all of us encouragement. We least expected Travis (would get it)."
He said that Travis got up to go to the bathroom about midnight, after going to bed at 9:15 p.m. Tex said, "When he went, he heard his 5-year-old step-sister mumbling in her sleep. Travis opened her bedroom door to listen to her. When he walked in, she was mumbling, then all of a sudden, as clear as a bell, she said JESUS IS COMING SOON! Then she went back to mumbling. Then Travis called me. I was a scared at first, because Travis never calls me that late. Then he told me his story. We began to praise and worship God. We had chills running through us. Now get this, Travis said, It wasnt her voice, but that of a young man, not an old man's voice like yours, Daddy, but the voice of a young man, and his voice was so beautiful, I will never forget it! It filled my whole body, not only my ears!!!"
Tex has spent many years in Russia and Eastern Europe and he also told me of two little girls in Hungary over the holidays who both had identical rapture dreams the very same night, and both heard that Jesus is coming soon.
Well, thats the latest. Be blessed!
Jim
