Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania 2006
States

During my first semester of post graduate studies at Edinboro University of PA I met MWPA 2001.  During the  subsequent years I prepared to compete.  Finally in March 2006, with the backing of family friends and employer I traveled to Reading PA to compete for the title of MWPA.  After two days of interviews and speeches I was named Ms Wheelchait Pennsylvania, with a chance to make a big difference in Pennsylvania for people with disabilities and a chance to compete for the title of  Ms. Wheelchair America.

On July 31 I boarded my first post 9-11 flight bound for Little Rock Arkansas and the Ms, Wheelchair America Pagant.  During the week I was able to meet 26 other women who use wheelchairs from all over the country.  We were all on the samr page, we all wanted to improve life for all people with disabilities.  We were busy all day, every day but it was fun.  Ms Massachusetts was the one who rolled away with the title of Ms. Wheelchair America 2007 but it was the trip of a lifetime with memories and friends I will never forget.
