Synopsis
Two Nations United is a romance set in England and the United States.  In the first half of the novel we meet Michael Anthony Paul Lucas, the oldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales and Alexandra Rose Grace Mathews, the oldest daughter of an American pastor and his wife.  The first four chapters follow Alexandra and Michael through their relationship from its conception when Alexandra was 16 years of age through to their marriage when she is in her mid twenties.
In the first chapter Alexandra is sixteen and the current Miss Teen USA titleholder.  She is admitted into the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for an emergency appendectomy and she is not a happy camper.  During her hospital stay she meets Prince Michael, the heir apparent to the British throne.  The two of them become fast friends.  Their friendship and love are tested many times.
Chapter two finds Alexandra as an eighteen-year-old college freshman when her father who has a genetic heart condition undergoes triple bypass open-heart surgery.  She comes home from school to be with her mother LeAnne and younger brother Andrew.  Her father dies and Alexandra is faced with a difficult decision, stay in school in Indiana and continue, quit school altogether or transfer to another school in or around Pittsburgh.  She decides to transfer.  Michael is right there for her and she returns the favor two years later when his mother was killed in a plane crash.  In chapters three and four Alexandra and Michael’s relationship blossoms, they marry and have four children (Collin, Carmen, LeAnne and Christopher) and take over the throne of the United Kingdom.
The next 16 chapters follow the relationship Collin’s eldest daughter Branwen has with John Davis, the oldest son of the an American President who is also a Marine.  When they are sixteen years old John asked the King Collin for her hand.  He grants his permission and together they face the terrors of war, a Presidential election and dealing with a child’s life threatening illness.
Chapter five introduces John and Branwen.  It shows how they meet, how the relationship matures from playmates to boyfriend girlfriend and how they drift apart. Chapters six through eleven tell how John and Branwen meet again at the University of Pittsburgh.  John pulls her out of a sticky situation, takes her to the spring formal, realizes who she is and proposes marriage during his senior Homecomig football game and together they enjoy the thrill of a Rose Bowl.  Chapters eleven through fifteen tell the story of their wedding, the beginning of their married life and the birth of their twins Peter and Leyanna.
Chapters 16 through 20 tell about John’s close brush with death during a war to fight terrorism, dealing with their son Collin’s life threatening illness, John’s bid for the United States Presidency and fighting a war to protect national security after winning the office.  He also has to explain the immigration law to an INS official when they come to deport Branwen back to England.  In the final chapter Branwen assumes the throne of the United Kingdom and she and John adopt an orphan child.
