Brandon Lee's first Hollywood movie breakthrough came opposite Dolph Lundgren in 1991's hit film 'Showdown In Little Tokyo'. This led to 20th century Fox offering Brandon his seminal role as 'Jake Lo' in the showcase movie 'Rapid Fire' opposite Powers Boothe and Nick Mancuso. Brandon developed a penchant for high living, fast cars and motorcycles. Renting a plush Beverley Hills chalet with his fiancee Eliza Hutton. He was offered the lead role as his father in the 1992  Bio-pic 'Dragon the Bruce Lee Story' but wisely declined, holding out for what he believed to be his chance for major legue stardom as 'Eric Draven' in 'The Crow' a movie treatment of James O' Barr's gothic horror comic strip. Brandon secured the lead for a mere $750,000 plus a percentege of Box office receipts. Secure in his ability to excel in The Crow Brandon signed for a further 2 sequels with Carolco pictures. During the final days of shooting, Brandon was fatally wounded, the cruel victim of alleged negligence on the set, when a 'prop' gun used for Eric Draven's murder scene apparently contained remnants of a live round. Brandon died at 1.04 pm in Hannover Regional Medical Centre, North Carolina. He was buried on April 3rd 1993 alongside his father in Seattle's Lakeview Cemetary.
