Jake Lo, a college student who lost his father in the Tiananmen Square massacre, is hoodwinked into attending a political rally to raise money for dissident Chinese students. The party is held in an art gallery run by a wealthy drug runner who works for Kinman Tau, mastermind behind an international drugs racket. As the party goes on downstairs, the gallery owner is confronted by mobster kingpin Serrano, who shoots him. Jake Lo (Brandon Lee) is the only witness, and he unwittingly finds himself caught in the middle of a vicious drugs war being waged between Serrano and Tau.
