UNIVERSO EM DESFILE PICS BY RUI MENDES

These photos register many important segments of São Paulo's underground scenary in the 1980's. They were shot in Madame Satã, the legendary punk temple, by Rui Mendes, one of its eminent habitués. And that night was the night for the parade of Universo em Desfile (the stylish bric-a-brac where most of those who were in the audience bought what to wear). Let alone that the Liquid Sky was in charge of the make-up, with products that were rare and unique in the Brazil of those times. PICS BY RUI MENDES / 1986
