| BOFC Established 1984 by Beverly Davis MEMBERSHIP FEE is $10 per year. Membership benefits include receiving the bi-monthly newsletter, and opportunity to participate in free monthly photo shows and accumulate points for Year-End Awards. REGISTRATION is not required to begin showing. Once you become a member of BOFC, you may show any Original Finish Breyer you'd like. THE BOFC NEWSLETTER is published every two months, starting with the Jan/Feb issue. It contains ads, sire/dam lists, show classlists, benefit shows, previous show champions, and news items concerning the club and Breyer model horses. POINT-ONLY PHOTO SHOWS are held the first Saturday of the months of January-November. There is no fee for entering these shows, and points earned in these shows count for year-end awards at a 5x rating. There is no free show in December. Volunteers are always needed to judge these shows. Most Active Member points are given for both judging and entering shows. A copy of the show results must be sent to the Club Director. BENEFIT PHOTO SHOWS that are listed in the BOFC Newsletter also count as point-earning shows. Other shows can also be counted towards points, but their classlists must be advertised in the BOFC Newsletter. Any shows held in December will count for the next year’s points. Benefits and other shows advertised will vary in rating, which will be designated in the newsletter. Members are encouraged to hold Benefit shows, which help earn money for the club’s Year-End Award budget. A copy of the show results must be sent to the Club Director by the judge. MOST ACTIVE MEMBER points are accumulated by entering and judging shows. Entering a show will earn 1 point, judging a show earns 2 points. These points only count in shows with classlists published in the Newsletter. The Most Active Member of each year will receive a Traditional Breyer model. Reserve Most Active Member will receive a Classic Breyer model. HALL OF FAME inductees must be retired from showing in the BOFC. These horses must earn 8000 points in one year, be active in both Halter and Performance, and have a very active owner EXCEPT for Draft horses and ponies, which must earn 4000 points in one year, and foals, which must earn 3000 points in one year. OTHER YEAR-END AWARDS include Register of Merit for Halter (2000 halter points in one year), Register of Merit for Performance (1000 performance points in one year), Legion of Merit for Halter (3000 halter points in one year), and Legion of Merit for Performance (2000 performance points in one year). A Supreme Champion award is given to those horses receiving at least 5000 points in one year. There will also be a list of top ten winners in halter and performance, and top five of each breed. The owner of the Overall Point-Earning Horse will receive a Traditional Breyer model. Other awards will be given as money allows. SHOWHOLDERS are always needed, for both the monthly and Benefit shows. Please contact the Club Director to volunteer.
