October - Popcorn Sales
Oct 4-6 - Whitby Venturer Gathering - Heber Down Conservation Area - meet at 7:00pm at the campsite, finish on Sunday at 12:00 $0 The group camping area is in the south east area of Heber Down. Take Country Lane north to Lyndebrook and turn right. Enter the gate under the power lines, then turn right and follow the road about 1 km to the camping area. We are on the east side of the Cub Powwow (behind them.) (also WJ patrol camp)
Oct 7 - Bike Hike - meet at COFFEE TIME, corner of Garden and Rossland Rds at 5:00pm (finish about 7:00pm) Trail to be determined by the group.
Oct 14 - No Meeting (Thanksgiving Monday)
Oct 18 - 20 - JOTA Camp at Durham Forest Centre, Glen Major (Uxbridge) - arrive at 7:00 returning Sunday at 1:00 $10
Oct 21 - St. Andrew's Church 7:30-9 (no uniform) - continue planning, investiture review for new guys, continue Queen Venturer Award planning.
Oct 26 - Apple Day, Popcorn Sales end

Jan 27 - Skating & Pick-up Hockey at Nathan Phillip Square, Queen & Bay Sts. Toronto (late night i.e. 6:30-10 pm) Meet at St. Andrew's at 6:30 with skates, sticks, net, etc.

Mar 3 - Venturer Business meeting at St. Andrew's 7:00-9:00, QVA program planning session - Food and Packing (UNIFORM) Dues of $5 for the month
Mar 10 - Indoor Rock Climbing at Ajax C.C. gym 7-9:00pm (firm!) $10 each, bring a friend (room for 20) (March School Break)
Mar 12-16 - Winter Expedition to Haliburton Highlands Wilderness with 57th Windsor Venturers and 1st Essex Med Vents. Part of Canadian Trails Award. The area is 40km east of Haliburton Village, Ontario. (Please Read Attached) (Ryan, Selena, Keith, Graham, Roderick)
This trip may also challenge us to make your own snowshoes (link to instructions)

Mar 17 - Samac Range, pellets 5-7pm pizza following $5 each
Mar 24 - Continue work on Queen's Venturer Award
Mar 31 - 7pm - 4.5 km run endurance test. Meet at St. Andrews basement

May 27 (Tuesday)- 6:45 meet at AMC Theatres for movie night. 'Bruce Almighty'

July 2003

Jul 7 - Venturer Business meeting at St. Andrew's 7:30-9:00, program plan update (UNIFORM) Dues of $5 for the month. Guest Ron Currell will prepare us for Rock Climbing.
Jul 11-13 - Weekend at Rattlesnake Point rock climbing outdoors on the Niagara Escarpment near Milton, ON (with 1st Stouffville Venturers) $10 each for camping and climbing, depart Luke's 6:30pm returning Sunday at 1:00
Jul 14 - Pool party at Selena's 7:30 - 9:30
Jul 20-28(6am) - Whitehorse, Yukon (journal) Exchanges Canada Adventure outbound including visit to Skagway, Alaska, Hike the Kluane National Park, ride the White Pass & Yukon Railway, learn about life in a First Nations family in Whitehourse, visit a hunt camp for Pot Latch, learn about the last great Gold Rush and the hearty people who still live in the north. (Matthew, Brendan, Ryan, Amy, Selena, Graham, Andrew, Kevin, Iain, Karen Mitchell, Amanda Luke, Sam Morrison and Siobhan Hendel-McCarthy.) Program cost.

August 2003

Aug 8-10 - 48-hour Survival Camp, meet at Country Lane Golf Course 7:00 Required for Roderick, Matthew, Andrew, Graham, Ryan and Brendan.
Aug 11 - Mini Golf at The Ken Fulton Golf Centre, 427-0590 Hwy 2 just west of Lakeridge, south side. $3.75 per round, meet at 7:00
Aug 16-23 - Inbound Tlingit/Tagish First Nations youth from Whitehorse, Yukon Exchanges Canada Adventure, visit Niagara Falls, Canada's Wonderland, CN Tower, Much Music, Blue Jays game, GM and OPG tours, etc.
Aug 25 - Andrew Pearce's birthday, bring a gift $5 or less, swimsuit, snack item (meet at Andrew's home 7-10)
