Family Reunion

There was a light and a feeling of forgetfulness and calm. Then came sleep. Oh, blessed sleep!

He awoke. She was there, watching.

She was comfortable with all these modern things as they washed up and he was not surprised. When his stomach growled, she lead him away; he did not ask, "Why is she here? Why am I?" Before, he would have asked these things.

Breakfast smells were in the air around them. "Family," he thought. Rachel and Richie sat at the table, drinking juice, smiling. Tessa was cooking.

"I love you," she whispered in Connor’s ear.

"Aye, blossom."

A/N: I didn’t like "Endgame", but...well...something had to be done. 100 words: point to Richie as usual. Longer version on my livejournal.
