Forever Knight – a universe in which vampires are real. One vampire in particular, Nick Knight, has sought a return to his humanity for centuries. Natalie Lambert, a mortal woman, offers him hope of becoming mortal through science. They become friends and, slowly, they fall in love. It is a love that can never be truly realized – he is a vampire, she is a mortal, and in the background looms his master LaCroix, determined to destroy any hope of mortal love or humanity that Nick may find. Their story, like so many others, ends in tragedy.

Now imagine if something had changed, if one part in the vast puzzle of their lives was different. Imagine a universe where, when they meet for the first time, Natalie is a vampire. There are no barriers between them, no fear of Nick accidentally killing her, or LaCroix attempting to thwart their attempts at a relationship. Certainly, one would think, there would be no problems. They would sense their mutual attraction, act on it, and live happily ever after.

Right?

Wrong.
