Cincinnati, Ohio

25 April 2003 - 27 April 2003

I went to Ohio to visit my cousin who lives there for a weekend during the school year. I had a hella lot of fun and took some really nice pictures. Sadly, these would be the last pictures with this particular camera, as it decided to be stupid and break about two weeks later. What follows are the photos I think are the best of the 90 that I took that weekend.

America West Airlines "Spirit of Ohio" Boeing 757-200. I found it to be hella cool since I was going to Ohio that day.

Frontier Airlines Boeing 737-300. Headed for Denver, Colorado. Frontier is slowly phasing out these planes in favour of the Airbus A319.

Overview of the Frisco Mall. I hate this place, but I figured it would be a cool picture because many people I know frequent this place.

Concourse 'C' at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Mostly 737 variants of Continental Airlines. Cleveland is Continental's smallest hub, with mostly 737 and EMB-145/35 regional jet traffic.

The Embraer EMB-145 that brought me from Dallas/Ft. Worth to Cleveland, parked at gate D3.

My Embraer EMB-135 that will take me from Cleveland to Dayton, Ohio. Dayton was much cheaper to fly into than Cincinnati's airport (which is actually in Northern Kentucky) by about $200. Notice this plane is also at gate D3; I had a very short walk for a connection.

Downtown Cincinnati as seen from the Railroad museum.

A hill, on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River.

More hills. Cincinnati is a very beautifully placed city.

This is the view from our seats at Great American Ball Park. We had a very good view of the first base line.

View of the Ohio River, and Kentucky, from Great American Ball Park.

A faux riverboat denoting that the Red's won the game.

A View of the backyard of my cousin's house. Aren't those trees hella beautiful? Yes, they are.

Me at a Big Boy's restaurant. I just thought it would be cool.

View of the Bridge for Interstate 71, and a river bottom at the Ft. Ancient Historical Park.

An up-close view of the river in the aforementioned photo.

A Chicago Express/ATA Saab 340B Turboprop. The plane was headed for Chicago-Midway.

An American Eagle EMB-145. I have no clue where this plane was headed. Probably Chicago-O'Hare of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

A US Airways Dornier 328 Turboprop. I think it was headed to Pittsburgh.

The Continental Express EMB-145 to return me to Cleveland.

A view of southwest Cleveland's suburbs on final for Hopkins.

Northwest Airlines DC-9-30, headed for Detroit.

Talk about luck, I was fortunate to be able to fly from Cleveland to Dallas on a brand-new EMB-145XLR. The plane has cool blended winglets and a longer range than other 145's.
