The first reports of snow hitting the area of Trier were reported in the early hours of 24 January, and by daybreak a total of 1-2 cm of accumulation was reported in the Innenstadt, up to 3 cm in the surrounding hills, most of which had melted before the lunch hour.. Our very own nerdy amature meteorologist number 3 has said no more snow is expected in the next day or two, but as tempuratures dip into the negatives, we have a good chance of seeing more winter wonderland on the valley floor by weed's end.
