Welcome to Hugh Panaro Online! "Dr. Producer", you might be wondering? Well, you see, I have this really weird ambition of becoming a doctor that produces Broadway musicals. The doctor part (more specifically, Doctor of Optometry), is already taken care of (anyone need an eye exam?), and the producer part will hopefully come in time. My philosophy is that with medicine I can heal the body, but with theatre, I can heal the spirit. What a wonderful balance to be able to bring both art and science into people's lives! Friends know me by my many aliases: "Dr. Roz", "Broadway Baby", "Dr. Producer", or "The Show Doctor"! |
How did I get involved with musical theatre? Well it all comes down to my first Broadway show and first love, The Phantom of the Opera. After that fateful day (believe me, it was fate...), I was completely hooked on everything POTO and everything musical theatre. I ended up becoming a season subscriber at the local performing arts center, taking American Musical Theatre courses in college, and even travelling to New York City, as much as my finances and time would allow me to. At my current rate, you can catch me making my cross-country trip to NYC every 3-6 months. LOL! So far my insatiable need to immerse myself in the musical theatre culture led me to see a massive load of shows, which includes: |
1) The Phantom of the Opera (16 times) 2) Les Miserables (3 times) 3) Wicked (3 times) 4) RENT (3 times) 5) The Lion King (2 times) 6) Aida 7) Beauty and the the Beast (2 times) 8) Chicago 9) Gypsy 10) Jesus Christ Superstar 11) Starlight Express 12) Cats 13) Miss Saigon 14) 42nd Street 15) Seussical 16) Contact 17) Mamma Mia! 18) Yeston/Kopit's Phantom 19) La Boheme 20) Urinetown |
21) Oklahoma! 22) Fiddler on the Roof 23) Boy From Oz 24) Avenue Q 25) The Producers 26) Thoroughly Modern Millie 27) Hairspray 28) Peter Pan 29) Oliver! 30) Little Women (2 times) 31) Brooklyn 32) Evita (2 times) 33) Little Shop of Horrors 34) Movin' Out 35) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 36) Spamalot 37) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 38) Light In the Piazza 39) Sweet Charity (2 times) 40) The Drowsy Chaperone |

Thanks again for visiting Hugh Panaro Online and for letting me share my passion for this artform (musical theatre keeps me sane!) and admiration for this performer. Trust me when I tell you that I have seen LOTS of shows and have met LOTS of performers, but NO ONE has inspired me with their talent or kindness as much as Hugh has. So, this website is rightfully dedicated to the one-and-only, Hugh Panaro, and also to his fans! I hope you continue to check back with the site and help us grow in the future. Much Love, Rosalynn (aka Roz) Webmaster, HPO Forum Moderator, Musicalfans.net |
Roz at the theatre...where else?! A California girl with a New York state of mind! |
Hallo all, my name is Rafe Andrews as you've most likely guessed. I am a born and raised South Carolinian, and hopefully, when the time comes, will make my career in New York City. I've always had a big love and sort of an obsession with The Phantom of the Opera, and have been blessed enough to see and meet Hugh Panaro numerous times. This man is by far the nicest and most talented man I've ever had the opportunity to meet and see perform, and it is my wish that everyone that has the strength to drag themselves, buy a ticket to the show, see this man on stage, and hopefully meet him to see the full extent of his kindness. Sincerely, Rafe NOTE: Rafe is also the co-founder of a website dedicated to Broadway greats, Gary Mauer and Elizabeth Southard. Please visit www.themauersonline.com! |
Rafe chillin' in the Big Apple! |
