Muhammad Shabazz was born and raised in the Island of Jamaica. He migrated to the United States of America on July 4,1982. He attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College where he earned an Associate in Science degree. He is currently pursuing a degree in Law.
He has written a series of books for children. These books highlight the journey of the Black man and his struggle for survival. The Black man’s journey is depicted in a manner that children can read and understand where the Black man has come from and where he is going.
His missionis to liberate the non-liberated and to set the captive free. This he does as he resists against human rights abuse and inhumane self-interest. He struggles to enlighten the minds of all of humanity and to help give sight to those who are spiritually blind.
He struggles daily for the complete freedom of all Africans who were kidnapped and took out of Africa into captivity. He fights for the freedom of all those who were born into captivity.
He has traveled through out North America and the Caribbean, were he has observed the exploitation of his Black brothers and sisters. He vowed to himself to be the wind beneath their wings. The human rights violations which he witnessed and experienced has shaped and molded him as a liberator for the entire Black nation. He strives constantly for the Black man’s redemption.
As an environmentalist, he strives to preserve the natural habitat of our planet earth, and he desires to see every living thing be free. He frequently gives speeches and lectures. Among his numerous accomplishments includes a book entitled, "Liberation Poems", several freedom books for children, The Black Self-Reliance Movement Organization, and various cassettes and compact disks. He is currently involved in developing different organizations for children, several other books, and producing and recording of music. He also is the founder of the Black Liberation Guard.
