Troop 9 has been around since
October 10, 1980. Allan Thorpe(Fox) has been the Scoutmaster since
this time.
We are part of the Old Colony
District in the Southern New Jersey Council, BSA.
The troop is active in the
district, the council, and in the Order of the Arrow.
Our troop also has it's own Indian
ceremony team.
We have 10 Eagle Scouts
Meeting Night: Every Thursday night 7:00-9:00 PM.
Meeting Place: West Deptford Scout Center, West
Deptford, New Jersey.
Camping: One weekend a month every month for the
whole year. Each month we camp at a different location and organize
the program around a different theme.
Camping
locations: Vary between
New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Occasionally we may travel
further.
Summer camp: One week in July or August at a different
Camp every year.
Quality Unit: Troop 9 has earned the Quality Unit award
every year since 1981.
