AJ smiled as he saw Anthony reach for him. He reached over and picked him up. Jen walked into the living room and saw them.
"How cute," she said.
"Yeah, I know I try," AJ joked.
"You're something else you know that right?" she smiled and kissed AJ.
"Is Nick on his way?" AJ asked.
"Yeah."
"So I guess we're going to have to tell him about us huh?"
"Yeah, I think so. We can't hide it from him any more. It's been almost a month now. We've been able to avoid telling him so far, but if we are going to be together we have to tell him because he is going to be in my life because he is Anthonys dad," she said running her hand down his arm.
"Do we have to?" he smiled.
"Yes."
"Oh alright...," he said and kissed her.
"MAMA!!" Anthony yelled.
"Okay, hold on," she said taking him into her arms. AJ smiled at them. Jen was really a great mother, it showed through everything that she did for him. AJ was about to say something when the door bell rang. "That's Nick," she said putting Anthony down.
Jen walked throught the hallway. She knew that she had to tell him because like she said to AJ, she wanted Anthony to know his father and she wanted AJ in her life because she loved him.
"Hey Nick," Jen answered when she opened the door.
"Hi," he said walking in the house, "I'm going to take Anthony to my place alright? You have the number and everything."
"Yeah, okay," she said following him to the living room. When Nick arrived at the living room, he stopped and looked at AJ.
"Hi," he said trying not to jump to any conclusions.
"DADA!!!" Anthony yelled from the couch.
"Hey, kiddo!!" Nick said smiling at him.
"Nick, before you take Anthony, me and AJ have something that we want to tell you. We have been seeing each other, we know you've suspected it. I want you to know that I am going to stay with him, but I want you to be there for Anthony as well so you do have to accept that there is an 'us,'" Jen said.
"Okay, I do. I don't have a problem with that. As long as you let me see Anthony, you can do anything that you want to," Nick said.
"Good," Jen said, "I'll get Anthonys things." AJ watched as Jen went up the stairs.
"There's no hard feelings right?" AJ said looking at Nick.
"None at all. I have someone else in my life anyway."
"Really? You met someone?"
"Yeah. She knows about everything that happened and she's willing to give it a shot."
"That's great, I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, and I'm happy for you too. I thought that you two looked great together before, and I still think you guys do. Good luck."
"Thanks."
"Okay, here you go, bring him back this time," Jen said.
"Funny Jen. Really funny."
"Hey, I mean it! I want him back."
"Come on, you know I'm going to bring him back."
"Just checking," she told him.
"Yeah, yeah," he said, "I'll see you guys later than."
"Yeah, you will," Jen said.
"Bye," Nick said leaving. Jen looked at AJ and smiled.
"Now that we're alone.....," she started, "what do you wanna do?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure we can come up with something, don't you think?" he said and smiled at her. She smiled back, she was finally happy and with someone that she loved and knew would treat her right.
