Management does not enforce any of the rules in their lease agreement unless it benefits their pocketbook.

Deposits are kept for the most petty reasons, you'll have to sue them to get it back. 

Rent increases once your lease is up are on a bi-monthly basis.

Trash is strewn throughout the complex and you are forced to walk through oil in the parking areas.

Noise from the "slum" apartment complex next door, freeway, overcrowded small apartments, and fire trucks are always a joy to listen to at night.

Shootings happen very near and will most definitely end up happening within the un-gated  surroundings of Highland Downs.

Overcrowded units throughout the complex.

Parking free-for-all is a nightmare, few residents use their garages for cars.

Pool leaves a lot to be desired, it is an extremely small wading/children's pool with a two person Jacuzzi along the side. 

Air conditioning units are too small to keep apartments at a comfortable temperature, insulation appears to be non-existent.

Construction is extremely poor, wood is literally rotting away. This complex is an earthquake disaster waiting to happen.

Non existent exercise facility.

Theft of car stereos is a common occurrence.

Gang activity is tolerated.

Washer and dryer are NOT provided, you have to read the small print on their sign.
