This is a difficult question.  There are many points that need to be explored.  First we must see where you are coming from.
What is a chicken?
What is a road?
If you cannot answer these questions, you are in serious need of help and should click here.
If you think you know the answers to these questions click here.
After examining these we can procede to a deeper understanding, and evaluation of the Question.
Now we must realise what is actually going on.  Some would say that it doesn't matter if the chicken crossed the road, but don't listen to their foolishness.  Still others will say, "KILL THE CHICKENS!! TAKE OVER THE WORLD!! DIE DIE DIE!!"
Look at them , through your head back, and laugh.  Others will just play with chickens on Easter Sunday (Warning: don't stare).  And others will say that it is up to the chicken and we should not bother with his business (curiosity killed the cat, and na na na), but I believe we can learn from the chicken and his adventure.
First let us evaluate the action itself.  What is crossing the road?  In what does this action consist?  The major idea is the fact that one is moving from one place to another.  The occurence of travel means that one wants to move from where he is now into a another area, not necessarily a better one as many would say.   One may wish to move onto a place worse than the one he is in, though the occurance is rare.  The second idea is the idea of crossing, or going over something.  Most would associate this with a task or trial.  This association can be made in our analysis, because one is moving from one place to another and must overcome certain trials in getting there.
Now that we thoroughly understand the question, we may proceed to answer it.
Yes, we have
proof.

Now the question arises what does this mean or why?
Well that is up to you to figure out, here is a good link to help though.
