Profile: Busco Charlie*
*To be honest, Busco Charlie
is actually the nickname of a friend of mine.
Real Name: Ken McElhaney
Location: Green Country, Oklahoma
Favorite Non-Gunslinger Games:
Titan: The Arena,
Power Play, Rage.
Unfortunately,
this lovely mug is not mine*, but a close
approximation.
I've been gaming since the '70's. I began with the traditional wargames
in mostly solo efforts.
I had purchased Gunslinger back when it first
came out in '83. Some
of my Civil War reenacting friends played it, and for a while
we enjoyed it. However,
time moves on...as it often does. And I had moved away to
the deepest regions of "Indian
Territory" when I met some hearty gamers who
loved card games.
We play Wrasslin', Titan: The Arena, Settlers of Catan, etc.
But I longed for the days
of the more sophisticated fair. My discovery of
The Gunslinger Saloon reintroduced
me to this old fave. And I am looking forward
to competing against fellow
players from around the world.
*Just in case your wondering,
this pic comes from a low budget OETA (PBS affiliate) mini-series
that I was an extra in.
It was called "Oklahoma Passages" and this actor played a thief (go figure).
I do not know his real name
or what became of him. He certainly did a fine job in the small role
he was cast in and looks
properly despicable in this picture.
