~You and Me~

A year has gone by,and it's been so hard,
Not hearing your voice,or seeing you ride your wheeler in the yard.
If I could change back the time,I would of said NO,
But to make you happy,I let you go.
The afternoon of the accident is ever so clear,
I wish SO bad you were still here.
The moment they told me you were gone,
I wanted to die too,I did not want to go on.
The days that followed,are really in the back of my mind,
Remembering bits and pieces and leaving the rest behind.
My friends I once had,I really don't see,
But it doesn't compare to "there is no more YOU and ME".
Jessica,Janelle and Jordan talk about you everyday,
They try to stay happy,but their sad smile gives them away.
Your Dad and Uncle Jeff talk about good times with you,
Then along comes Gram-Bam and she has quite a few.
Your journeys to camp,staying the night,
Enjoying yourself,it was so right.
It has come to an end now,your journey with us is thru,
You are with God now,but one day again,it will be ME and YOU!
