Thanks for stopping by our garden
When we first started our butterfly garden it looked like this.

Along the rock path, over to the right on the creek bank, we planted azaleas to border the path. Down alittle closer to the creek, we planted Butterfly Bushes: yellow, purple, and white. At the back of this section, around and near a bird feeder, we planted Black Eyed Susans, a few sunflowers and a Swamp Hybiscus.

In this section, we planted alot of Lantana in all different colors, some Dusty Miller, Coronation Gold Yarrow and Verbena.

Here you can see some of the Lantana. The Tiger Swallowtails love this flower.

The wooden cage cover you see over on the right side of this picture is another story about turtles.
In the far back section of our garden, we planted a small plot of leafy parsley to attract the Black Swallowtail butterflyand a few flowers to attract certain birds.
This summer, we concentrated our gardening efforts on the large area behind our storage building. We planted only Milk and Butterfly Weeds. Our efforts payed off and we've had lots of Monarchs and plenty of food for them.
