| Yes, its true. There are people who classify themselves as "emo". I wouldn't, but I once did. I had already went through the 5 stages of "becoming emo", and noticed something about emo kids. Not all of them are white, yet the guides and information online for emo kids are only from one source! The White emo kids. Yes, you see them everywhere, curly brown hair down to the forehead, low rise pants that are wrapped up ONE time, and an assortment of shoes, nowadays mostly Vans and old Converses. Bright clothes and even brighter socks, this image has been the foundation for most emo people out there. Yet thats not where it ends. There are plenty of emo kids out there who are not white, you've seen them, the Asian punk rocker who jams as a Guitarist in a band (Though never as the lead singer...), the Asian girl rocker who seduces naive white guys, the Hispanic punk groups who form bands with coherent, normal emo names. Even at times the Black chick rocker, with the light as cotton hair that curls over her bleached skin and sun dried clothes. Their everywhere, just not mainstream yet, I'm here to provide an in-depth guide on the variations of emo fashion and mind for the non-white rocker. |

| The problem with emo is that its steadily becoming a mainstream fashion, pretty soon, it'll be the "hottest" fashion around and everyone will want to be one, making you, the original emo, another hay in the stack. There are numerous websites that do this, including www.dobi.nu/emo. The first step, and this is universal, is to not follow is guide, or any other emo guide perfectly, skip a few, add a few, and modify a few, this is the universal look, its still semi-rare to see someone like this, but emo music has become mainstream, combatting rap nowadays as the reigning genre of music. *CLARIFICATION!* There are actually three styles to go if you want to go on this road of contemporary rebel. You can be an emo, a goth, or a punk. I'm generalizing, but this is a general page, so excuse the rather broad classification. An emo is generally more mellow and subdued, hair is longer, and eyes sadder, they listen to very emotional music that transcends to the heartthrob puppy love crap on K-ROCK nowadays, they are generally American-affiliated, the new-age emo guys love stuff like Alk-trio, Ataris, Get up Kids, NFG, and other radio friendly bands, their music, just limited music. Goths know nothing but black and wear nothing but chains and black, they love Smashing Pumpkins and all these rave underground bands, their hair is probably middle ranged, generally French-affiliated. Punks are generally erratic and excitied, easily angered because of retards who deny their radical ideas, they generally have short spiked hair, and are generally British-affiliated, their music ranges from the Anarchist band "Sex Pistols" to bands such as "The Dead Kennedy's", "Ramones", and "The Clash" These are the general definitions. The next page will start the Official Foreign Emo guide, it actually focuses more on Asians, but incorporates Hispanics and Blacks (Because I'm Asian). All those "White" countries like Germany, Britain, France, Denmark and etc. generally could follow the same guide, though more from one classification do come from specific parts, such as more Goths coming out of France, and more punks coming out of Britain.
