Sinners Prayer If my words can in any way help anyone who reads them to come to Christ our Lord and Savior, then I have accomplished my mission. If you have read my testimony then you know I am a baby Christian. I still consider myself that as I still have a lot to learn. I am constantly learning more discipline and more about Jesus and why God wants us to be like Him. I have learned that through daily prayer that God does answer prayers. He expects us to spend time in prayer daily. The more time we spend in His word and in prayer the happier we make Him. God gave us free will. We can think or do as we please. What God wants us to do is to make the conscious choice to give up our will and live in His will. He will never steer us wrong, unlike friends. God’s will is perfect. Turn your life over to God and let Him give you guidance. We may not always understand God’s will or even like it, but if you are willing to turn your life over to Him completely He will take care of everything. It is a matter of faith. You must put all of your faith in Him. Without Him we are nothing. I have had a lot going on in my life the last few years. God answers prayers. I thank Him so much, I praise Him, and I worship Him. He has done so much for my family and me. I could never repay Him for all he has done. I pray that He will allow me to do work for Him. God is so awesome. God may not answer your prayers immediately or in the way that you want them answered, but He will answer them. You must learn to accept His answer as His will. God’s will is always right. He has worked such miracles in my life that I am amazed. I will never be worthy of anything He has done for me. I know that God loves me unconditionally. I always looked for unconditional love. No human being can give that, only God is capable of unconditional love. Recently I seem to be in a daily battle with the devil. The Lord is there with me every step of the way. He is helping me to get through the trials. I know that I have no power within me. It all comes from God. I give Him all the glory. We must be thankful to Lord for ALL THINGS. We learn from the trials. That is why God allows us to go through trials. Never give up on God. He is always beside you and He always loves you unconditionally. None of us will ever be worthy of God’s love, but He gives it to us anyway. He loves the ones that do not love Him, and the ones that do not know about Him. He loves everyone on this earth the same and He expects us to love everyone just like He does. If you are reading this and you are not a Christian and would like to be, you can pray this prayer and become a Christian right now, today. Dear Lord, I come to you today because I want to become a Christian. I am asking you to forgive all of my sins. I am asking the Holy Spirit to come into my heart and change my life completely. I give you my life dear Lord to change and make me whole. Make me the person you want me to be. I asked you this Lord, in Jesus holy name. Amen. If you prayed this prayer and really mean it then God has forgiven your sins. Pray daily. God wants a personal relationship with you. Talk to Him as you would your best friend. Unlike friends, He will never tell your secrets or hurt you. He loves you unconditionally. He does not expect elaborate prayers. Just talk to Him and tell Him your needs. Jesus loves you. He died for you. Read your bible daily. The more you read the more you will get to know about God. The bible is God’s instruction book on life. There is no situation that you cannot find an answer for in the bible. Go to a bible believing church. Make friends with Christians. The more you have God and His word in your life the more you will understand. There are churches out there that are cults. Be careful. If they twist the words of the bible or do not believe in parts of the bible then you may want to look for another church. Remember the entire bible is God’s word. Not just part of it, but all of it. Pay your tithes. God will give back to you, it may not be monetary, and it may be other blessings. God will provide for your needs. Remember that needs are different from wants. God only asks for 10% of your earnings. He will be faithful to you if you are faithful to Him. Another thing to watch for in cults is sometimes they will tell you to give over everything you own. Remember God only asks for 10%. The closer you get to God the more you will want to give to missions, etc. Keep Jesus in your heart at all times. Listen to Christian radio. That has taught me a lot, not just the music, but the bible teaching programs. They are really great. I have learned a lot from them. That also helps keep me going from Sunday to Wednesday night service and from Wednesday night service to Sunday morning. We need God and His word in our lives daily. I have also learned about missions. God has commanded us to go and spread His word. Not just preachers and missionaries. We can all be missionaries every day by spreading the word at work or wherever we may be. Some people may not want to hear it or may make fun of you. Remember what they did to Jesus. You do not have to be pushy. You can also show people about Christ by living a Christian life. They can see God’s love in you. Do not be shy or embarrassed. Loving God is something to be proud of. My pastor preached a sermon on how to pray for your lost loved ones. Hosea 2:6;( Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will wall her in, so that she cannot find her paths). Pray a hedge of thorns around them so that they will get no pleasure from their sins. I always pray that they will feel the sting of the thorns if they think about sinning. I am so thankful that our pastor preached this sermon. I felt like he preached it for me. Also pray for salvation for people you work with, for friends and family. If there is anyone that you might not be sure of their salvation, pray for them. God will work in their lives. Be patient, these things do not happen overnight. There are other hedges to pray for also, as a hedge of protection and a spiritual hedge. I pray for all of these hedges every night for my loved ones. I never saw God working in my life until I started praying every night. Be faithful to Him. Praise Him for everything in your life. The devil may cause bad things to happen, but God will use those things for His glory. Praise God and give Him thanks daily. As you know, Africa is a third world continent. As I said above, I am learning all of the time. We had a speaker a few weeks, ago at our church. He spoke on how our country was founded on the word of God and this is why we are blessed. I had never thought about it, but now I know why there are third world countries. The majority of the population in third world countries worships idols or gods other than the one true God. There are Christians in these countries, but most have to worship God in secret or may even be persecuted for worshiping God. How can God bless a country that does not pray to Him? This is where we come in with missions to try to educate the people about Jesus Christ so that they can know the true God. It also worries me that so many of these religions have now come to the United States. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam (Muslims) and many others, there are also many cults. If too many people here in the United States start turning to these kinds of worship, can we become a third world country? That is something to think about and pray about. God blesses us because we turn to Him for our needs. In Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before Me. This is one of the Ten Commandments. God commanded us to worship no other Gods. We must keep His commandments. Pray for our country and the people here who are not keeping God’s commandments. Deuteronomy 6:4 & 5 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul, and with all of your strength. Since September 11, 2001, our lives have changed. Some people have ask “Where was God?” or “Why did God let this happen? God was there. He was with every person. Look at all of the people that got out safely, or stayed home from work that day that were late for work. That is God’s work. God does not cause bad things to happen. God does not give us diseases. These things are from the devil. God uses bad things that the devil causes, to work for good. More people were turning to God after September 11. It seems now that they are getting comfortable with their old ways again. Isn’t it funny how we run to God when we are frightened or worried? When that fear or worry is gone we go back to our old ways and forget that God was there for us. This is not how it is supposed to be. God created us for His pleasure. God wants us to love Him with all our hearts. He wants us to live our lives for Him. God is the only reason we exist. Without God there would be no earth. We owe Him everything. I have turned my life over to Him and I pray that you will do the same. Ephesians 5:1 thru 10 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. 3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. |
