What is my name?

These are the words to a song written and sung by Quinton Mills. He ministered in gospel music at my church last Sunday. This song is on a tape I was given by a friend. The tape is called Live Wire and was performed live in North Carolina. This song so impressed me that I felt like everyone should at least read the words. It left me in tears. I hope that especially young people will read this. We must follow mans laws, but above all we must follow God’s laws. Man makes allowances for things that God does not.

What is My Name

She couldn’t believe the awful she’d heard. In some time you’ll be giving birth – It’s my choice and I’ll not be denied. She chose to hear silence instead of the baby’s cry.

He had no choice but what if he did, you’d hear him cry please mama let me live. To give you birth would mess up my life. So the womb became a tomb of the baby’s sacrifice.

The eyes of the Lord did record this awful sin that some call a job. This child will speak clearly someday and it’s you who will stand guilty when to Jesus he will say.

Chorus

What is my name, what is my name? Will mom & dad be coming, for I love them just the same. But when they tore me apart, the way I felt the pain is a crying shame. I’m glad you brought me here now Lord what is my name?

It’s a human life and it’s a crying shame. When you don’t think it’s worthy of a name. They’re so helpless but He loves them just the same. And has a place prepared for them where they will know no pain.
