"Isn't Mandy's new song in this movie?" Kyndall asked as they sat down to watch 'Center Stage'.
"Umm, yeah. I think so," Catlyn said putting her Mountain Dew in the cup holder and leaning back in her chair. "Ahh, yeah. Groovy," she grinned as she rocked back and forth.
"You are such a child," Kyndall said looking over at her.
"Yes well, if was anything but, I wouldn't be me," Catlyn smiled sweetly at her.
"Oh heaven forbid," Kyndall teased.
"Dude…look over there," Catlyn whispered pointing at a couple of guys sitting a couple of rows in front of them, more towards the aisle than the center where the two girls sat.
"Oooers," Kyndall grinned. "Isn't he a yummy one?" she murmured as one stood up and started towards the exit. As he walked by, he glanced over at them and smiled. Kyndall looked away quickly and started giggling.
"Now see. You could've had him," Catlyn said shaking her head. "But noooo. Ya had to look away."
"Oh whatever, Cat. He was looking at you," Kyndall said rolling her eyes.
"No he was-"
"Shhh…the movie's starting," Kyndall whispered.
Sighing, Catlyn sat back in her seat, rocking quietly. She looked up as the cute guy from down front walked back by. He nodded as he passed, his gaze obviously on Kyndall. Catlyn grinned and nudged Kyndall, nodding in the guys direction. Looking over, his face broke out in a grin as she smiled shyly at him. He continued down to his seat next to his friend, but kept glancing back at the girls.
Halfway through the movie, Catlyn felt someone touch her arm. Looking over on her right, the friend of Kyndall's admirer was sitting next to her. Leaning forward, she saw the guy that had been checking out Kyndall, sitting next to her. Settling back in her seat, Catlyn looked sideways at the guy by her. He was nicely built; big, but not too muscular. He had longish blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, but it was mostly covered by his baseball cap. His baggy jeans were a nice light faded blue. The white tank top he wore was covered by a black surfer's short sleeve button up. "Hey there," he whispered, smiling softly, revealing a pair of dimples on either side of his mouth. "Name's Dylan," he said holding out his hand.
Placing her hand in his, she smiled. "Catlyn. Nice to meet you," she smiled as he brought her hand to his lips, brushing her knuckles lightly.
"Likewise I'm sure," he winked. "That over there is Chase. We had seen ya'll come in the theatre earlier. He was disappointed because he thought we'd missed ya."
Catlyn grinned. "That'll make Kyndall happy." She glanced over at Kyndall who was blushing furiously at something Chase was saying to her.
"We were wondering if ya'll would want to accompany us to Pleasure Island to go club-hopping," Chase asked Kyndall softly.
"Umm…I don't know. You'd have to ask Catlyn, she drove," Kyndall said softly.
"Would YOU like to?" Chase asked leaning forward to see her face.
Kyndall shrugged. "I…I guess," she replied nervously.
"I bother you don't I?"
"Ummm…no. It's just…I don't…I don't know you," she laughed.
Chase grinned. "We could change that ya know. If you wanted to," he whispered.
Kyndall smiled. She leaned over towards Catlyn. "Wanna go with these guys to Pleasure Island?"
Catlyn shrugged. "What do you wanna do?"
"Have you SEEN this guy?" she asked. Catlyn leaned forward and took a quick peek at Chase. He was tall like Dylan, built almost the same. He wore his dark hair short, spiked slightly on top, the tips bleached a soft blonde. He had on an outfit similar to Dylan's, except he had on baggy khaki carpenter shorts in stead of jeans. On his head, he wore an Adidas visor rather than a baseball cap. His smile was slightly crooked, making it all the more charming. "Yeah. He's okay," Catlyn grinned.
"Okay?" Kyndall asked looking at her like she was crazy. "Of course I want to go."
"Okay then. We'll go."
