Nick stepped out of his room, heading towards Howie's room. He needed to talk to him about Kyndall. Catlyn was still worried about her. She wasn't getting any worse, but she certainly wasn't getting any better. He didn't know Kyndall that well, but it certainly bothered him that she was hurting. As he walked towards Brian's room, he heard a door open behind him. Turning around, he recognized the figure leaving AJ's room. His eyes grew wide in surprise, but soon narrowed as a surge of anger ran through his body. "Nick," Miranda said smiling largely at him as she walked up. "How are you?"
"What the fuck are you doing here?" he asked his blue eyes staring down at her.
"What do you mean?" she asked sweetly. "I came to visit AJ. It's been ages since I've seen him."
"And what exactly makes you think that he would want to see you?" he asked.
"The fact that he was the one that picked me up at the airport?" she retorted.
"What?" Nick exclaimed. "He wouldn't…he…can't," Nick stammered.
"He did. He wanted to," Miranda smiled up at him triumphantly.
Nick's eyes narrowed to mere slits. A small tremor of fear passed through Miranda as she seen a side of Nick she'd never thought there was. "You fucking slut," he said, almost growling at her. "Ya'll deserve each other." He walked past her, almost knocking her down as he stormed off towards AJ's room.
Miranda snickered quietly to herself as she watched him walk away. "Fucking blonde idiot," she said shaking her head as she walked to the elevator. "Revenge dear AJ," she said pushing the button. "Isn't it sweet," she murmured.
Nick knocked on AJ's door louder than he meant to. It sounded like a gunshot in the stillness of the hallway. Nick was about to knock again, when the door opened and AJ peeked his head out. "What do you want?" he asked looking at Nick wearily.
Nick pushed his way into the room slamming the door shut. "What the fuck are you thinking bringing her here?" he demanded.
"What? What are you talking about?" AJ asked looking at Nick like he'd completely lost his grasp on sanity.
"Miranda. What the fuck was she doing here. I thought you wanted to get Kyndall back. This certainly isn't the way to do it," Nick yelled at him.
"What isn't the way to do it? Calling her Kyndall and then basically kicking her out of my life?" AJ yelled back.
"I'm sure that is what happened," Nick said crossing his arms over his chest and staring down at AJ.
"Don't fucking look at me like that," AJ said glaring at Nick. "You don't know what went on. You don't know anything about any of it."
"I know more than you think I do. And I can't believe you're going to stand there and tell me that you didn't fuck her."
"Well, believe it because I am. We didn't. I didn't. I couldn't. I love Kyndall, and believe it or not, I know that I can't have both of them. Believe it or not, I don't WANT both of them," AJ sighed sitting down on the bed.
Nick laughed without humor. "Ya know, you're sad, regretful act isn't going to work on me. I know you better than that. I know what you're like. Hell, who do you think taught me? And I know how you get when Miranda's around. You couldn't resist her even if you wanted to. You never HAVE been able to. You don't have it in you," Nick said as he walked towards the door. As he opened it to leave, he turned and looked at AJ. "Stay away from Kyndall. She doesn't need jerks like you screwing up her life any more than you already have," Nick said closing the door as he walked back towards his room.
"FUCK!!" AJ said throwing a magazine at the door. Dropping his head in his hands, he closed his eyes tightly. "Why the hell did she have to run into HIM," he whispered. "I pray to GOD he doesn't say anything to anyone else. What the fuck what I thinking?" Laying back on the bed, AJ looked at the ceiling as he once again began praying softly. "Please oh please," he begged. "Don't let me have lost her forever. I don't think I could continue if I knew she was never going to come back to me."
