Beyond Sanity
Kassandra

The colors change; reality bends.
The sunlight turns to moonlight as I watch
Beneath the wings of a golden butterfly.
Spreading over me,
Taking me beyond your peace.
I have reached my eternity,
Enter my reality.
Forget rationality;
It no longer exists.
It is only pain;
There is only death.
It is only truth;
There is only life.
Silver-gray sunbeams drop careless smiles
Upon an unsmiling earth
While demons laugh
And angels sing
Praises, praises.
Gods scream in protest as they are thrown away
And taken as relics of a forgotten age.
Flames are reaching higher and higher,
Envelope me.
Hold me.
Burning.
What is burning?
Flames are reaching higher and higher
And the paper disappears with the words of tomorrow
And of the past.
There was something so right.
But the sunbeams have turned to moonlight
And the stars are shining out of a yellow sky.
Bloody roses cover the land below.
Where am I?
Who am I?
Beyond.
