SEND IN THE CLONES

Isn't it weird?
We aren't a pair
You there on the ground
Me flying through mid-air
Where are the clones?

This can be bliss
What, you don't approve?
You who keep sleeping around
You who can't lead
Where are the clones?
I think I want the clones.

Just when I thought
You opened the door
Finally knowing
The baby I carried was yours
Us getting together again
Amidst all the noise
Yes, we're in line
But you are not there.

Don't you love this farce?
Not my fault this time
I thought that you'd want what I want -
Sorry, my dear.
Where are the clones?
Quick, I'd rather have the clones.
Why are they not here?

Isn't this rich?
I think you're queer
Losing your virginity this late
In your career?
Oh, where are the clones?
I want the clones
Well, maybe next year...

Original Lyrics:

Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Me here at last on the ground,
you in mid-air.
Where are the clowns?

Isn't it bliss?
Don't you approve?
One who keeps tearing around,
one who can't move.
Where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.

Just when I'd stopped
opening doors,
finally knowing
the one that I wanted was yours,
Making my entrance again,
with my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
no one is there.

Don't you love farce?
My fault, I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want -
sorry, my dear.
And where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother, they're here.

Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this late
in my career?
And where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.
Well, maybe next year...

MEMORY

Midnight, Liz is walking on the pavement
Has Max lost their memories?
Liz is walking alone
In the lamplight, only shuddered gasps collect at her feet
And she then begins to moan

Liz, all alone in the moonlight
She smiles at the old days
Things were beautiful then
She remembers the times she knew what happiness was
And wants the memory to live again

But every streetlight seems to be a great big warning
She hears them mutter, "It's all in the gutter"
"And soon you will be mourning"
She looks for daylight, for the sunrise
She thinks of another life … Alex
And decides not to give in
When morning comes, she won't forget Alex's memory
So a new quest will begin.

Burnt out from non-dreamy days
She wakes to the cruel smell of morning
The old street light dies
Those magic nights are over
A new union is forming.

Liz P, she will make Max see
Even if she stands alone with a memory
Of her days with Alex
If she shows him, maybe he'll understand what her quest is
Not stop her before "it has begun."

Original Lyrics:

Midnight, not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember a time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Every streetlamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning
Someone mutters in the streetlamp gutters
And soon it will be morning

Daylight, I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I musn't give in
When the dawn comes tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Burnt-out ends of smoky days
The stale, cold smell of morning
The streetlamp dies
Another night is over
Another day is dawning

Touch me, it's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me you'll understand what happiness is
Look a new day has begun

KYLE TURNED GAY

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My oh my Kyle just turned gay
Max looks like he's heading that way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Ms. DeLuca's on the right track
It's the truth, it's actual
Everyone needs no manual

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My oh my Kyle just turned gay
Max looks like he's heading that way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Ms. DeLuca's on the right track
It's the truth, it's actual
Everyone needs no manual

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Oh what a feeling, Kyle just turned gay

Original Lyrics:

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My oh my what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine heading my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Mister Bluebird's on my shoulder
It's the truth, it's actual
Everything is satisfactual

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My oh my what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine heading my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Mister Bluebird's on my shoulder
It's the truth, it's actual
Everything is satisfactual

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Wonderful feeling, feeling this way
