There are 11 nest boxes lined up across the
back of the aviary for the 14 lovebirds.
Below::    Debbie holding 6 baby lovebirds, all hatched around January 2000
Above: Cuddles taking a
drink. He was the 1st baby lovebird I ever handfed
We bought the green-yellow pied (pied = blotched colors) lovebird (above), from a friend last Spring because none of our birds had ever hatched out any yellow babies!
They grow fast!
This is what they look like at 3 days old and very close to the actual size!

This is the same chick
at 8 days old.
Below:    an Olive green
baby at 3-4 weeks old, are just showing color at this age
Above: We sold this pair of lovebirds to some friends last Fall and this Spring, they hatched out the 3 birds
below:
ABOVE:
We raised these 2 a few years ago. They are 5-6 weeks old here  and are dutch blue colored. One has blue feathers with blue-green wings and the other one is a greenish-blue with blue-green wings, now that they are fully grown.
(I refer to them as TEAL colored, which is one of my favorite colors :-)
This yellow bird is
not a lutino because
it has blue rump feathers
More photo's of my birds soon!
~NEWS~
We have 1 yellow (lutino) baby bird!

It hatched the first week of
August 2007. I think it will
be completely yellow! It's
been several years since we
had a Lutino baby hatched
from our birds.

More info on lovebirds here
VIOLET:
Shown at the left lifting the lid to her nestbox wanting me to look inside for eggs! She is a green-violet pied. Her rump feathers are actually dark purple. Her belly and legs are pale lavendar, with some pale green feathers, which makes her a pied.
Peaches:
Looks like the bird shown at the left. I think this bird was molting.
