Track & Field
The campers are given the opportunity to practice two times during the week in all track and field events. Practices take place in the morning at the Denton High School track. Campers are assisted by the counselors and volunteers following the current IAAF (International Amateur Athletic Federation) rules.

By the end of the week, campers are able to pick two track and two field events that they want to compete in. The track and field competition takes place on the last day of camp, in the morning. Campers are divided into heats depending on their visual classification and gender.

Heats are usually very close and all campers end up taking 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in one or more events. Each camper is awarded a bronze, silver or gold medal accordingly at the picnic and award ceremony.Campers have the opporutnity to have fun and the chance to participate in a competion that they normally may not participate in at their school.
