Pharisee – Am I One?

“Pharisee” is the largest of the three or four Jewish sects: noted for their self-conceit and long prayers; paid unnecessary tithes, fasted often, made broad phylacteries (a pocket-like booklet of Scripture verses tied to the person’s forehead, generally); held to traditions, etc.

Describe briefly the characteristics of a Pharisee in the following verses (attitudes, motives, words, or actions).  Then ask yourself if any of these are true of you.
