This wonderful child is the daughter of Perla, my primary host and guide. Her name is Ephraim. Notice the rosary hanging on the door. Eighty-five percent of the people in the Phils are Roman Catholic...like me. She followed me around quite often. Although it was probably out of curiosity, I like to think it was because she enjoyed my company. It was sad to hear Ephraim cry when she learned that I must return to the USA. I'll never be able to get that out of my mind.
