CULTURAL UNIT.

Culture which is considered by all as the identity of a people demonstrated through
language, dressing, behavior, living style or pattern must be one that gives the youth
a sense of wealth, identify, purpose and belonging. It can be express through creative
arts especially contemporary music or creative writing. The world of culture
contributes to the development of human being and to the combat of poverty. Arts
brings unity, coordinates the past values with the present world challenges so as to
bring to human peace and harmony.

Artist's role over years are to be accentuated for them to deliver the goods which they
are expected to. Hence they are expected to be flexible, adaptable, creative,
imaginative, innovative and comfortable with challenges of out time. The rich traditional
past of Cameroon when dug up will constitute the rich museums. The fight against
poverty in Cameroon have occupied the important place in our community and this fight
can be taught from diverse domains, arts being one of them. Creative arts can be
economically profitable and will hence empower youth in this domain economically. The
fight against HIV/AIDS is seen by CADYF through the cultural unit is seen as a a
better forum where a positive change can be obtained. Through creative Work of arts,
the message of devastating impact of HIV/AIDS is transmitted into the society and by
this solutions to the deadly diseases can be passed on to the population. This is the
easiest means which some information can disseminated.

Conflicts have rocked nations and lessons and mistakes have been learnt. The
culture of peace and conflict prevention, management and transformation.

Unless youth take the lead to develop Cameroonian society from the very basic truth
and realities embedded in our cultures and tradition, the development process will turn
out to be furtile in the long run. The project have as activities:

Create contemporary acts center for the promotion and protection of work of acts as well
as the teaching.

Train youth in creative painting, mask caring, creative writing, serigraphy, decoration and
recycling of thrown-off objects and dematerialize into objects of acts and statutes.

Promote the each cultural heritage of Cameroon through cultural festivals spiced up by craft
works. This National Youth Craft And Cultural Festival (NYCCF) is one of the item that will
blend many tribes in Cameroon together making them unique. This NYCCF will stamp out
tribalism for unique identify will be seen every culture of the 250 ethnic groups in Cameroon.
Consequently lasting peace will be seen between these diverse groups in Cameroon. The
organization of the festival shall starts from village level, to subdivisional, divisional
youth craft and cultural festival. Expected results are supposed to be felt in the society
with the youth.

Being catalyst of peace and development. Youths will become integral parts of their society
with liberated minds. Youth awareness on certain vital issues plaguing their society shall
be achieved and there shall be greater chances for them to tackle the impartially leading to
smooth discussion and reasoning.
