HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION AND PROMOTION UNIT

There is nothing which is precious on earth to a human being than his inalienable and inextricable
human rights and liberties. Hence when they are taken away the human being is debased and nothing
look pleasant in life. The Human right protection and promotion unit look at this project at two
perspectives: protection and promotion for these dual missions human rights activists shall be
drawn from all works of life to monitor, promote, protect these inextricable to inalienable rights of
Cameroonians using national and international human rights instruments. Investigation into violation
of human rights shall embarked on insecurity, banditry and high crime waves shall be addressed
by the unit in conjunction with other units. The unit will addressed particular issue such as:

Insecurity and human rights,
The proliferation of fire small arms in Cameroon,
Impunity and forces of law and order,
Human rights of minority,
Intertribal Land Conflicts in Cameroon,
Children trafficking and torture,
Women/girls rights,
Corruption and rights to decision taking etc.
Rule of law,
Public Management and decision making
Governance etc. The strategies to be applied shall be field actions with the target group.
These Projects shall be applied through seminars, colloquium visits to detention camps, award of
material aids to victims of human rights abuses, counseling and so on.

The expected result should be a society where the youth master their rights and defend
them firmly everywhere.
