Every year since October 12th 1810 there has been a Beer Festival in the Brewing Capital of Munich.  It started as a horse race, celebrating the marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig 1 and Princess Therese von Sachasen-Hildburghausen of Saxony.  In the following years the race was combined with the Agricultural Fair and booths serving food and drinks were introduced.  By the 20th century these booths had developed into large Beer halls. Today the festival lasts 16 days ending on the first Sunday in October.  All beer tents close at 11pm so that the day has to be started early.  30% of the year's beer production in Munich is drunk during these two weeks.

Prague, a place I would dexcirbe as a smaller version of paris.  They filmed some parts of the movie Mission Impossible here.  you can spend all day just wondering the streets taking in all the beautifully decorated buildings and drinking.  The food and drink over here is very cheap and you can get a beer for about 60 cents.  Another place to visit is Chesky Krumlov about 2 hours south of Prage it is a great place to just relax and do nothing and is even cheaper than Prague.
