Rocky Mountaineer

Come and join me on my "Western Explore" My journey takes me from Vancourver throught the beautiful Rockies to Calgary. Our first 2 days are spent travelling on the train where we see such sites as Hell's Gate and Mt Robson. We spend our first night in Kamloops which is a town with little to offer. Then it is on to Jasper where I have my first bear siting.  Explore the town in the afternoon and head off the next day for Lake Louise home to the famous Chateau.  On the way we stop at the Columbian Icefields.  Here we take a ride in a snocoach on the Athabasca Glacier.  Arrive into Lake Louise in the late afternoon for our over night stay.  We spend the next morning lazying in the hotel enjoying one of the Canadian special, pancakes and maple suryp.  Our after is filled with enjoyment as we venture to the Yoho national park.  Here we visit Emerald lake and the Spiral Tunnels.  It is then on to see the what I had been waiting my whole trip to see, Lake Louise and the Chateau.  We arrive in Banff in the late afternoon and rest up for our busy day tomorrow.  Spend the morning exploring the town before our afternoon tour of Banff and area which includes a gondola ride to the peak of Sulphur Mountain and the Cave an Basin.  Time for the tour to end and my days of luxury are over.  In to Calgary where I spend my last night in a hotel.
