Canaan Dogs, since being accepted into the Kennel Clubs during the 1990s, have been making good inroads while showing in the Conformation Ring. In the States many have their Championships and are doing well at the Group level.
In Canada, on May 21, 2006, Ha'Aretz Gimel Northern Confidence"Cybelle" at 8 months old made Canadian history as the first Canaan Dog in Canada to take a Group placement. Under Canadian Judge Phyllis Wolfish, and beautifully handled by Ward Bailey, Cybelle won fourth in the Working Group - there were 12 breeds that day representing the group. |
