Deacon Nominating Committee Members'

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DEACON NOMINATING COMMITTEE members

  1. shall be appointed by the board in September or October of each year until completion of elections.
  2. shall supervise the nomination of candidates and the election of new deacons for the following year.
  3. shall determine the number of candidates.
  4. shall determine the time period for receiving nominations from the members.
  5. shall announce the nominating procedures to the members.
  6. shall nominate candidates.
  7. shall accept nominations after careful examinations as to their qualifications and eligibility as set out in the Bylaws.
  8. shall present a list of candidates to the members.
  9. shall assist the chairman of nominating committee during the elections and the counting of votes.
