The famous Leaning Tower. It isn't quite as big as it looks, but still a funny experience to stand at the bottom and look up as the clouds are moving overhead. Construction began in 1173- however completion took many, many years. The first delay was due to war with Florence in 1178, the Bell Tower was finally completed in 1350. |
