MORE OF AMSTERDAM

	The streets were quite neat. There was a car I’m assuming dealership because it had a Ford sign and cars in the window- but no big car lot… Strange. There was also a tiny gas station on this street. We ended up dining at an Italian restaurant where we got veggie lasagna and coke for 10.5 Euro. The streets were rather beautiful, except that a lovely Dutch rain came up and we stood standing under a tree in someone’s yard trying to wait it out. Anyway, it was a lovely walk, and fortunately Andrea had discovered the heater in our hotel so we were able to dry our damp clothes… It should be noted that these hotel rooms did not have a shower curtain… Annoying! Also, there were stairs rather than elevator, however we luckily were on the first floor and escaped the carrying baggage problem for another day. Of course, I haven't really mentioned a lot about the "famous things" of Amsterdam to this point. Marijuana is either decriminalized or perhaps legalized, and you will note that "coffee shops" do not sell coffee, but rather the afformentioned. As well, Amsterdam is also quite famous for the legalized prostitution. If you were to go on the optional cruise I believe part of it goes through the red light district in the evening, and also there is show to attend as an optional. Other famous things about Amsterdam more likely to be legal in other parts of the world- the Van Gough museum, and the Heineken Factory. For the shoppers, comments were that Amsterdam shopping wasn't too bad. Also its really neat to see all of the loches everywhere, as the Dutch reclaim land out of water.
