Jan. 26, 2000- Our Lady Peace Intimate and Interactive at MuchMusic
The I and I was going to start at 8pm. I was very excited...i got downtown at 2pm! i checked to see if there were any Clumsy Congress members there yet, but i didn't see any. We (me and my sister, Daniela) went to subway to get something to eat, then walked by the line up again, and decided to warm up inside chapters for a bit. We decided to brave the cold, and go outside at around 4:00, and a bunch of CCers that i didn't really know recognized me, so i talked to them for a bit. then at around 4:15, Katie (olpsunflower) showed up, so we froze our asses together for a bit. A while later, Mike (xmikex) showed up with his girlfriend, Lindsay, and we talked to them for a bit, and then decided to go to Second Cup to get something to warm up. Inside Second Cup, we met a few more CCers-Danielle (zith), Ryan (can't remember) and Mike (SilentBob), and a few others.
It was now time to start lining up to get inside much, so Katie, Dan and I headed over. Katie got in line with Jenn (RMJDgirl) cause she was Jenn's guest, and Dan and i were at the back of the line. But then, Amber (MissOLP) came over and told me to stand with her, so we got to the front of the line.
So, Finally, we get inside Much, and we go to sit down in the area where they have CityLine. Inside, i meet more CCers (Xyleigh, KlumsyKelly, Rich and Shelley, Kruno and Miro {again}, Annie {again}, and a bunch of other people). Mike Turner and Raine both walked through the room, and i missed them both times, and i was freaking out!
so then, the security guard asked if anyone needed to use the washroom (and i was dying, cause of the coffee that i had) So i stood up from my seat and went to the floor. but they were only letting people go in groups of 10. so then, Raine comes out, and he's standing right beside me! he tells everyone in there that he wants everyone to sing REALLY loud, and cheer really loud. he said he doesn't care about Much Music, that they're doing the show for us, not for them, so he wants us to be as loud as we can, and not to pay attention to the cameras. and then he left. (i got some Really nice pictures of Raine at this point...i couldn't believe he was standing right beside me!)
now at this point, they had already started letting people into the concert area, but Mike, Lindsay and I were still waiting to go to the bathroom. Lindsay told me that a security guard told her not to worry, cause the people who get in last usually get the best spots, so that made me feel better. then, we were standing right beside the door, and Rick (much VJ) walked in! so we talked for a few seconds, and i got a pic of him, then he had to go get ready.
finally, after most of the people had been let in, we were allowed to go to the bathroom. By the time we were finished, they let almost everyone else in, and we were among the last. At first it looked as though we would have really bad spots, but somehow i ended up squeezing my way up to the front, right where the band would pass to go onstage! Then they let a few people in who had been waiting outside since 6:30 am, and they got front row, so i got pushed to the corner, but i was still in the front!
they did a bunch of practice takes of the beginning of the i and i, and then finally it started! we were so pumped! They opened with Naveed, then Automatic Flowers and then Is Anybody Home? During the songs, i made eye contact with Mike and Raine several times. During the commercials on TV, the band members came over, and i finally got to meet OLP! (my story of meeting olp got it's own page...go here to read it...it's very cool!)

it was such an unbelievably cool show. i heard the audience singing more than i heard Raine, and it was just like magic. what was seen on TV totally didn't show the energy that was in the room.
then it was over, and we ended up being one of the first groups out of there, cause we were right by the door. so after getting our coats, and our free pepsi (gotta love those sponsors!) we went outside, and decided to wait for some more CCers, but it was too cold, so we just walked over to Second Cup for Meet-Up Part 2, and for a cup of tea, cause i lost my voice, and my throat was SO sore. so after we were there about 10 minutes, Amber came in next with her boyfriend, Jason. then, slowly, all the CCers came in. We all took pictures and discussed the show, and i won two posters because i made a "clumsy congress" tiara. they were a "clumsy" tour poster and a "world's a blister" tour poster...very cool stuff :)
then it was getting late, so Kelly, Kyleigh, Amber, Annie (and i think there was someone else that i forgot...) and I walked to the subway station. a few of us (except for Amber) ended up going the same direction, so i had company all the way, and we talked the whole subway ride, which made it seem a lot shorter. :)
i can honestly say that it was the best day of my life. i was never so happy as i was that night! :)
