DUST COLLECTION

Here is a dust collector I made from a blower fan, 5 gallon plastic pail and a dryer hose. I place a standard heat register filter under the lid. Place the wood tray under the front of my saw and the dust is sucked into the dryer hose. You could use a bathroom vent fan. The trick is to use large volumes of air. It is much quieter than a vacuum cleaner.

If you take a photocopy and use the iron on method you can varnish over the top for a unique finished product. The trick is to make sure the wood you are ironing onto has an extremely smooth finish before you start. The photocopy will also be reproduced as a mirror image. You will have to print your original in reverse or the text will come out backwards
