| A-ha released their new record "Minort Earth Major Sky", the firts single to promote was "Summer Moved On", that very quickly tops the Norwegian charts. After the released of the record, A-ha was sold half a million of copies in only four weeks, the CNN chanel (World Beat), made an interview and their album was # 11 of the world chart. |
| These are some extracts of their french interview, when they presented their new album to the musical critics. Magne Furuholmen, (about his paintings) The peolpe have seen pictures of you? - The peolple have seen pictures of me but no of my art work. (he laughs) The art journalist took your work seriously as a painter after been a pop musician? -Yes, always is difficult, when you beguining some proyects, when we wanted to release our first record. The record companies said: That a Norwegian band wouldnīt be succesful and then as that they told me that it would be impossible, they would took me seriously as an artist after be a pop musician but here I am, making music and art at the same time.It was hard but no impossible. About the comeback? - Always ius a risk the comebacks, when you released your first single, the first video, the last album, the succes of something depends about the the audience, the people who bought your records, that go to your concerts - Morten Harket. About 80īs. ? In the 80īs we made a lot of computer music and electronic that was new in that moment but now, we combine both elements with the technology and the organic pure sound. Morten Harket. - Magne: "For me the 80īs were great there were lots of creation a new ways of develope music and videos as well" Do you listen the music of other musicians? - Yes, of course. We hear music of other bands and young groups, we look for inspiration everywhere - Magne Furuholmen. Wich is your favourite band? - My favourite group?. (Yes) - I have to say names ? ĄOh dear! (Pal laughs) - When the music is good you listening but for me. I donīt follow anybody, we donīt belong any fan club... No at our age. Morten Harket. Is difficult to be father, when you are musician ? - Yes. "Pal has an embrionic state" - Morten Harket. - We took the nannies with us - Magne Furuholmen. With You ? - Ja, Ja, Ja, Pal and Morten. - Well no with us, with the children. - Magne Furuholmen. What does your kids think about your music? -My kids are impressed with a-haīs music.
