suppressed people especially for people in East Timor, who for 25 years have lived in a brutal dictatorship without the care of the United Nations Comunity or others...

Politicians and media alike have begun to share a bigger interest in East Timor.
In 1999, Morten performs at "Smuget Concert " in memory of Gunnar Simonse, in the same year he was the leader at the student peace price in Trondheim, The East Timor, student leader Antero da Silva, recives a price for his work.
Morten as well have interes in the chindren abuse, and he jointed to the tenth anniversary of the United Nations convencion on the rights of child, along with people like Harry Belafonte...
Morten also has a friendly relation ship with Amnesty International,
he also prepare a speech at the 1999 "Innsamlingsaksjonen".
In 1991 he made a special trip to the Amazonian Rainforest on a short ecological fact-finding mission.
Morten, who has always feel passion for biology and who grows rare orchids...
Morten said: That he always wanted to go there and also for the enviromental point of view...
He wanted to see what it was like up there with his own eyes, but actually he was there for a couple of weeks and you really donīt see to much in that time.
He said that he stayed with the local rubber-tappers up the river, it is very interesting, he said- "I think is important to do something about it though, rather than just talk about how terrible it is".

2003 (may) Morten will be the hostess of a tv program about
East-Timor, and develop of the peace in that place, the show is
produced by the norwegian chanel NRK in union with the producer
Einar Matre and the charity organization "Strommestilfelse", the bad thing is that in an interview with a norwegian newspaper he told that the war in Irak was necesary, so is Morten Harket a real activist man? Or he is a pantomine, maybe he need to see this pictures and analyse if there are any difference beetween East-Timor and Irak.
