Sacred. Holy. His. It was a incrediable gathering of 20,000+ college students who came to pray, praise, and participate in what God is calling our generation to in our schools and world.  I personally attended the event May 24th-27th.  No one could have anticipated how God would show us our truely BIG and AWESOME he is.  After a quick check in on Saturday my group and I quickly set up camp and after getting our tents set up we decided to take a trip to the local wal-mart in Sherman, Texas to pick up a few things.  Little did we know what was about to happen...only a few mins after arriving back on site did the volunteers begin to caution us to get back our tents because rain was coming. Rain? I think what happen for 12 hours deserves a greater name than rain it poured down-lighting, thunder, and hail.  I will never forget the hours laying in our tent as micah and i held it up with our legs as we ate cookies and sang loudly a version of "Jesus, Lover of my soul" as micah and I sang "though my tent my fall I'll never let you go..." haha  Outside our tent we could hear the screams of newly arrived campers who were about to set up camp and those of our in our own group who had gone up to take showers when it started raining.
Because of the rain, people were unable to get onto the campsites or one day field due to the eroison of the roads.  So there hundreds even thousands stranded at the Dallas Airport and or in sherman.  They sent some to local high school gyms until the weather cleared up the next day.
To make a very long story short, tents fell-flooded-and colloasted, people got struck by lightning, everything got wet and extremely muddy ...but we survived! It made for an interesting few hours!
About 24 hours later...the roads had dried enough for all the people who had traveled the day before to be allowe on site...however they along with thousands of other had to endure the almost 4 mile long line.  Louie took a heliocopter up to see the line and landed at the end and began encouraging the students and thanking them for their patience. He was amazed at their hearts that were eager to worship and make the best use of the time...even despite the rain and wait. The lord is worth it!
