Here at The Candle Patch each and every candle is handpoured by me, in my kitchen. The candles that I make are 100% soy with cotton cored wicks. No lead or zinc is present in any of my wicks. When I pour my candles, I pour in small batches --- they are not produced in mass quantities. The only additives that I use in my candles are uncut fragrance oils and color. Colors may vary slightly in different batches of same fragrance. You may notice some white frosting in your soy candles, do not be alarmed, this is a normal occurance in soy wax, and will not affect how the candles burn, or the scent throw! Candles are allowed an acceptable amount of cure time to ensure the utmost scent throw. A substantial amount of testing has went into my products to allow for a great smelling and great burning candle for you.
The Candle Patch is located in the Alleghany Highlands, a mountanious area of Virginia. A family owned business, I alone do all of the pouring, packaging, and labeling. I am a stay at home mom, with an extremely active 4 year old little boy that loves to keep me company while I pour, and has to give each candle his "sniff" test.
Soy wax is derived from soy beans, which in turn helps to support the American farmer, and our nation's economy. Soy wax burns with less soot, when wick is properly trimmed, and no harmful toxins or carcinogens. Soy wax has great hot and cold scent throw, however, keep in mind that some fragrances are milder than others, and will "throw" better in smaller rooms, such as a bedroom or bathroom. I do test runs with my candles in rooms that I can shut off, like my bedroom.
Currrently, I offer over 80 different fragrances, and 3 different size jelly jars to choose from. I offer tarts, in 2 different stlyes, individual pieces, or in "Clamshells". I'm always working on adding new stuff to my line. Please take a moment to sign my guest book, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, and enjoy your visit to The Candle Patch!
Thank you for your support and your patience! Have a Scent-sational Day! ~Kristen~
