Poppy Seed Bread

3 c. flour                                            1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. sugar                                    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. milk                                      1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil        1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 Tbsp. poppy seeds                   1 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring

Drizzle Sauce:

3/4 c. sugar                                        1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. orange juice                            1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract


Combine flour, 2 1/4 cups sugar, milk, oil, poppy seeds, salt, baking powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring in a mixing bowl. Beat 2 minutes. Spoon into 4 greased and floured mini loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan. Bake at 350' for 45 to 50 min. or until the loaves test done. Cool pans 5 min. and then invert onto a wire rack. Drizzle hot loaves with Drizzle Sauce. Great for breakfast or dessert!!
