Canine Expo runs 3 Championship Shows in conjunction with Battle of the Greats, Contest of the Rising Stars and a Gala Dinner, over one week-end, usually the end of July / beginning of August each year.  This week-end is considered the highlight of the Dog Show Year in Darwin, Northern Territory,  Australia.

2 Championship Shows are held on Saturday night and 1 on the Sunday night, usually with International Judges judging. 
This year is no exception. 
We have been very fortunate in contracting the following judges.
Mr Benny Yeoh from Malaysia
Mr Larry Yuen also from Malaysia
and last but not least Mr Glen Friedlander from the Philippines.

On the Firday night before the Championship Shows we start the week-end off  with Contest of the Rising Stars. 
To qualify for this event a
Northern Territory dog under the age of 24 months has to have won
Baby Puppy In Show
Minor Puppy In Show or
Puppy In Show
at any All Breeds or Specialty Championship Shows held in the Northern Territory between 1st July - 30 June each year.

BATTLE OF THE GREATS
is judged after the  Contest Of The Rising Stars is judged.  Qualification is as follows:-
Open to any Northern Territory Dog that has won a

BEST IN SHOW
or a
RUNNER UP BEST IN SHOW
during the preceeding year.

THIS EVENT IS OF COURSE JUDGED BY OUR THREE PRESTEGIOUS JUDGES WHO ALL GIVE POINTS TOWARDS THE ULTIMATE WINNERS FROM EACH CATERGORY.

During the evening a Gala Dinner is held under the stars as the climate is very conducive to outdoor dining.  This is an evening that many look forward to and is open for anyone to attend.
