| motto nothing is impossible ( we believe in constantly striving to better ourselves, for team, for school.) ----------------------------- brief history Meridian Junior College Canoeing Team was first established in January 2004 as a new Co Curriculum Activity (CCA) of the school. As a starting CCA, obstacles were inevitable. As our boats were not ready, we faced the problem of having no boats to train with. But thanks to Temesek Secondary School, who graciously let us use their boats, we finally were able to hit the water! During May, our own boats finally arrived! This began a new chapter for our team. The team committed themselves to the increase intensity of our training, preparing for the nationals. On 28th July, the National Inter School Canoeing Championships kicked off. After facing fierce competitions, we managed to clinch 6th positions for both boys' and girls' teams. the new us @2005 After a year of experiences, we had grew from a group of strangers to a group of friends working together for the same goal. With the new batch of J1s, our goal of clinching top 4 for both teams in this year's national is just a step away. Nothing is Impossible. |
