DECLARATION OF CANADIAN INDEPENDENCE | ||||||

||||||
WHEREAS, never in the history of mankind has a nation so endowed with natural wealth combined with a population of talent and industry stagnated beneath its capabilities as has the nation of Canada, and WHEREAS, this nation has labored under the burdens caused by the imposition of a Marxist-Socialist form of political philosophy, allowing for the unlimited growth of an intrusive government, in which power is in the hands of a few allied to an overwhelming bureaucracy, and WHEREAS, this nation has existed as a DOMINION, meaning it is subject to the domination and governance of a foreign power, in this nation’s case being the United Kingdom, we declare, IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TO THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM, PROSPERITY and INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY IN CANADA that: 1. The inalienable individual rights of all Canadians be upheld over those of the state. 2. The true powers of society be held by the people in the form of a Republic. 3. The scope of government must be brought under control. The magnitude of these actions require that we should declare the CAUSES THAT COMPEL US TO SEEK FINAL AND PERMANENT SEPARATION FROM THE CROWN OF ENGLAND and which will transform Canada into a FREE and INDEPENDENT nation. (1) Canada must abolish the feudal parliamentary system inherited from Britain and replace it with a freely elected Republican form of government, specifically including direct election of a House of Representatives, a Senate, and a Canadian Head of State. (2) Our nation must remove the deleterious, harmful consequences that the institution of the Crown has had on our Canadian economy in the form of Crown Corporations and the holding of Crown Lands. In order to accomplish these goals, all ties relating to the domination of Canada by the British Crown should be abandoned, as soon as possible and forever. IN ORDER TO CREATE A FREE AND INDEPENDENT NATION OF CANADA, we call on all Canadians to join in the formation of a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC OF CANADA, representing government of the People, by the People and for the People, which will place stringent and binding limitations on the future scope and powers of government, and which will formally and legally terminate any and all ties, other than friendship and goodwill, with the Crown Monarchy of England. Therefore, we members of the Committee to Form a Republic of Canada do set our signatures to this Declaration on this the 5th day of September, 2002 in Cowichan Bay, Province of British Columbia.
